We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer position based in our Poznań location to join the Spinning & Curing team .

Your future team:

You will join the Spinning & Curing team responsible for mechanical engineering for Hot End, Spinning and Curing equipment. You will work with all phases of delivery projects, from initial order and concept study through specification and design to test, commissioning and after-service. You will be responsible for delivery of specific equipment within Spinning and Curing for projects, including design, specification, time, budget and quality. Projects may vary, from small machine deliveries and engineering support to participation in large international green field factory projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Analyze production equipment needs and production challenges, taking into account investment cost, lifetime of the equipment and running / maintenance cost.
  • Make clear and unambiguous technical agreements with the customer and other involved parties.
  • Produce mechanical designs (drawings and / or specifications) of production equipment.
  • Ensure that the necessary expertise in “GOT” (from other departments - environment, safety, MMR’s) is included in the solutions.
  • Communicate with suppliers to place orders and follow up to secure compliance with specific design needs.
  • Make sure that all documentation / reporting is done and archived following CE directives and GT rules, and available tools.
  • Business travel to supervise implementations on-site, as well as support and collaborate with international colleagues.
  • Partake in budgeting and the development of tender material for suppliers.
  • Study the company’s rules for purchase, secrecy and obligation to treat know-how confidentially, and comply with such rules.
  • Stick to company’s code of conduct / values while representing company with external contacts.

What you bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience from a similar position, working with mechanical design, machine construction, design specifications and 3D modelling using Inventor or a similar program.
  • Preferably, knowledge and experience in engineering or maintaining of bulk material handling equipment (transport, storage, granulation, milling).
  • Knowledge about wear resistant materials.
  • A degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Preferably, background as a smith, mechanic or other type of craftsman.
