At Valeo Powertrain Systems in Czechowice-Dziedzice we produce advanced drive systems for the automotive industry. In our activities, we focus on modern and ecological technologies, thanks to which we are a pioneer of these solutions in Poland, while contributing to ensuring a clean and low-emission future in the automotive industry. We design and produce electric drive motors for passenger cars. We also deal with other drive systems that help reduce fuel consumption and lower exhaust emissions - including the creation of innovative electric turbochargers.

We are one of the few factories in Poland that produce electric motors and focus on a large product variety. We also have a modern R&D center where we improve our products.

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Thermal motors module team in the R&D Center in Czechowice. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for the deliverables of all or parts of the design, integration, validation of the DC electric motor and ensure the success of the project.

YOUR CHALLENGES

• Perform activities in compliance with Engineering discipline Development Plan
• Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications
• In charge of the robust design / validation in line with the economical targets
• Support technical architecture and standards assignments
• Follow Standardization rules
• Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers

The scope could include: all or part of the design, integration, validation of blocks / product.

Complying with Engineering disciplines processes and Design Rules:

• Perform or support Engineering discipline design simulations/coding/validation
• Perform or support Engineering discipline design calculations including worst case/statistical and support thermal studies
• Perform or support Engineering disciplines tests

Management follow-up

• Reports the progress of his tasks

LETS TALK ABOUT YOU

• University degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering
• Min. 3 years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience with CATIA or similar SW (SolidWorks or other CAD)
• Experience with leadership and electric motor for vehicles is preferred
• Communicative level of English to communicate with international teams
• Experience in automotive or aviation industry
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
• Readiness to travel few times per year (mainly in Europe)
