Job Description

We’re working with a rapidly growing MEP Contractor based in London, currently on an exciting journey of expansion — with ambitious plans to grow from £50M to £100M turnover within the next five years. As part of this growth, they’re seeking a Mechanical Construction Manager who’s passionate about delivering quality projects and eager to progress into Project Management as the business continues to scale.

The Role

As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical projects valued between £1M and £15M, across a range of heavy commercial new build and fit-out schemes. You’ll manage site teams, coordinate with design and commercial departments, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical installation and construction activities on site
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour teams
• Ensure health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance
• Work closely with the project management and commercial teams to meet programme and budget targets
• Support design reviews, progress reporting, and commissioning activities
• Develop your leadership and technical skills to progress into Project Management

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager or Construction Manager within the MEP or Building Services sector
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation practices
• Background in commercial, new build, or fit-out projects
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ambition to progress into a Project Management role
• Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
