The role involves developing and maintaining solutions that align with our objective of becoming a data-driven organization. This ensures proper governance and quality, consistency, and reusability of data across the enterprise. A key responsibility will be to manage and monitor among others our SAP MDG solutions, ensuring they effectively serve the needs and strategy of the organization.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining these solutions, using the latest tools and technologies. They will also be required to collaborate with various business units and IT stakeholders to define, implement and maintain MDM solutions.
responsibilities :
SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Implementation, Support, and Roadmap Development:
Assist in the design and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for data governance and data quality within the organization
Lead and coordinate the implementation of SAP MDG solutions, working under the guidance of senior team members to support and optimize these solutions
Participate in the design and development of the SAP MDG roadmap, aligning with JTIs organizational goals and data governance strategies
Support the rollout of SAP MDG across the organization, ensuring effective governance of master data
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into SAP MDG functionalities
Continuously monitor the roadmap implementation, suggest adjustments based on feedback, and ensure business continuity
Oversee and lead SAP MDG design, implementation, and support activities, including those outsourced to external consultant companies
Assist in troubleshooting SAP MDG-related issues and support the creation and maintenance of technical/Functional documentation
Communication, Collaboration, and Data Governance:
Collaborate with leadership across the organization to identify business needs and implement data governance and data stewardship capabilities using SAP MDG
Serve as a liaison between Business, Functional areas, and IT, ensuring that data-related business requirements for SAP MDG are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood
Work on delivering Data Governance communication plans, helping to establish a cultural change in how data governance is perceived and managed at JTI
Share insights and knowledge with the team and seek out learning opportunities to enhance understanding of SAP MDG
Governance Standards, Policies, and Procedures:
Develop and implement standards, policies, and procedures within SAP MDG to support data governance across the enterprise
Facilitate the development and implementation of data quality standards, data governance playbooks, and data-centric culture adoption
Define performance indicators and quality metrics within SAP MDG, ensuring compliance with data-related policies, standards, roles, and responsibilities
Define roles and responsibilities related to data governance and ensure clear accountability for the stewardship of JTIs principal data assets
Market Knowledge:
Stay informed about data governance best practices, latest SAP innovations, and other solutions to identify new business opportunities
Facilitate the evaluation of Data Governance and MDM solutions from both technical and functional sides, ensuring alignment with industry standards and cutting-edge technologies
SAP MDG Training and Support:
Collaborate with Business teams and other Data & Analytics teams to ensure key business users are educated and trained on the data governance practices implemented within SAP MDG
Facilitate training programs on SAP MDG to ensure alignment with business requirements and promote effective use of the platform
requirements-expected :
University degree or equivalent (preferable in Computer Sciences, Information & Technology or similar)
3+ years of experience in implementing and maintaining SAP MDG solutions, particularly in domains such as Supplier and Material Management
5+ years of experience in SAP ERP implementations with a focus on modules: SD, MM. Basic knowledge and experience in customizing is plus
Experience in business stakeholder management, capable of effectively liaising between business and technical teams
Experience with the SAP S/4HANA system and the Business Partner model
Solid understanding of data governance practices, including business and technological considerations related to the management of enterprise information assets
Experience in implementing Master Data Management (MDM) Golden Record and 360 solutions is considered a valuable asset
Experience in ABAP development and familiarity with SAP Fiori UX is considered a plus
Knowledge of and experience with the SAP Cloud Platform will be considered a plus
Prior experience working in multinational companies is desirable
Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Excellent communication skills, with the proficiency to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives, drive innovation, and resolve difficult tasks in a dynamic, challenging environment
Outstanding organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Familiarity with Agile Principles and the SCRUM framework is necessary
Fluent in English both written and spoken
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiarity with Data Governance and Master Data Management tools and systems
Advanced knowledge in SAP MDG, SAP ERP (SD, MM modules), and SAP S/4HANA system
Familiar with the Business Partner model in SAP
Experience in ABAP development and SAP Fiori UX
Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform
Experienced in using IT Service Management tool such as ServiceNow
Familiar with Agile Principles and the SCRUM framework
Basic understanding of SQL and database management
Experience with project management software like MS Project or Jira
