Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Łukasiewicz-IMiF) conducts the research and development in the field of advanced microelectronic and photonic technologies. It has unique technological laboratories and intellectual capital that enable it to undertake the scientific work and run the projects aimed at increasing the innovation of Polish enterprises, simultaneously creating a high-tech knowledge environment in the field of innovative materials’ production along with the technology and design of microelectronics and photonic devices, gallium nitride technology, LTCC technology, printed electronics and medical and environmental sensors. Łukasiewicz–IMiF runs numerous projects financed from domestic and foreign funds annually, the goals of which are to increase the innovation of the Polish economy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Implementation of technological processes for the production of composite materials
- Optimization and development of technological processes
- Scaling up technological processes
- Characterization of graphene-based materials and composites
- Preparation of scientific publications, technical documentation, and reports on conducted work
- Participation in research and development projects
- Participation in scientific conferences and industry trade fairs
- Contribution to the commercialization of research results
- Execution of assignments commissioned by external entities
- Master’s degree or higher education combined with at least one year of experience in the R&D sector (preferred fields: Materials Engineering, Technical Chemistry, Polymer Engineering)
- Experience in laboratory work, particularly in the production of polymer-based composite materials with nanomaterial additives
- Knowledge of basic techniques for homogenizing nanomaterials in polymer matrices
- Understanding of plastics and laminate manufacturing and processing
- Knowledge of methods for shaping the functional properties of plastics
- Knowledge or experience in designing and testing materials for improved mechanical strength
- Proficiency in Polish (spoken and written)
- English language proficiency at B2 level (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with laboratory practices and health & safety regulations for working with chemical reagents
Preferred:
- Knowledge or basic laboratory experience in working with carbon nanomaterials, particularly flake graphene
- Knowledge or basic experimental experience in designing and testing materials that absorb electromagnetic radiation
- Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis related to polymer-based composite materials with nanomaterial additives
