Material Planning Manager EMEA
Job Description:
Role Purpose:
The primary objective of this role is to operationally manage a team of Planners while leveraging functional expertise in complex supply chain solutions. This includes system setups, ongoing maintenance, and governance of intricate customer engagements. The role focuses on managing customer demand effectively, ensuring seamless integration of processes, and driving efficiency across the supply chain lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of Planners, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer expectations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
- Oversee the setup, maintenance, and optimization of complex supply chain systems to support customer-specific requirements.
- Govern and streamline processes related to customer demand management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in planning and execution.
- Act as a subject matter expert in supply chain solutions, providing guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to complex challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that address customer needs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Advocate for the adoption of emerging technologies and data-driven solutions to optimize supply chain processes, focusing on scalability and agility.
- Leverage advanced analytics tools to build compelling visual narratives that clarify data insights and drive actionable recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards and maintain robust documentation for all customer engagements.
Core Skills and Competencies:Leadership / Collaboration:- Proven experience in supply chain management, with a focus on S&OP.
- A proven ability to influence teams and stakeholders, at varying levels, using data-driven insights.
- Talent for simplifying and clearly communicating complex ideas, tailoring messages to diverse audiences to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
- Fluent English (written and spoken), with a secondary European language as a bonus.
Technical / Mindset:- Strong expertise in managing complex systems and solutions within a supply chain/operations context.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, with a strong understanding of system integration and maintenance; Oracle preferred.
- A mindset comfortable with using advanced analytics tools (e.g., predictive models, AI-enhanced platforms) to enhance forecasting quality and drive strategic decision-making.
