Master Data Management: Create, maintain, and update material master data in line with governance rules and business needs. Collect and validate required information to ensure completeness, consistency, and compliance across systems like SAP.
Cross-Functional Expertise: Act as a trusted advisor for stakeholders across IT, Supply Chain, Finance, and Production, translating business needs into effective data management solutions.
Data Quality and Analysis: Conduct regular quality checks, resolve discrepancies, and manage maintenance requests to ensure accurate, reliable material data. Contribute to data improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement and Standardization: Support the standardization of material data practices, propose process enhancements, and help implement best Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing: Support and coach other Master Data Specialists, ensuring alignment with best practices and governance models.
Project Participation – SAP 4/Hana Implementation. Contribute to Metsä Group’s program, supporting unified master data practices and shared maintenance processes across business areas.

Experience: A minimum of 3–4 years of experience in master data management, with a proven track record in SAP (R/3 or S/4HANA) environments. Knowledge of Material Management master data is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (e.g., R/3, S/4HANA) and Excel. Familiarity with data governance tools and Power BI is a plus.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and anomalies, and maintain high attention to detail.
Problem Solving: Solution-oriented approach to data issues and process challenges.
MDM Platforms: Knowledge of MDM (Master Data Management) platforms such as STIBO Systems STEP will be considered an advantage.
Process Improvement: Proactive in optimizing data management practices and contributing to best practice development.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with IT, Sourcing & Logistics, Finance and Production.
Languages: Fluency in English required; knowledge of Finnish is a significant asset. Other languages are an advantage.
