The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Material Create Specialist for EM you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

1. Managing projects related to material creation for assigned division and business teams.
2. Serving as the subject matter expert (SME) in the material creation process, data governance, and master data set-up.
3. Establishing relevant material creation lead times and valid need-by dates, and tracking performance against those metrics.
4. Working closely with data providers in the material creation process to complete data collection steps in a timely manner, reduce data quality issues, data delays, and rejects.
5. Providing individual training and coaching on the material creation process to portfolio leads, data providers, and peers.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited university
2. Professional knowledge (processes, technical, critical in the role)
3. Work experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing, Master Data Management
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

1. Lean / Six Sigma Certified (Green Belt/Black Belt)
2. Project Management, ITIL, SCRUM Certification
3. Foreign language skills
4. Proficient in Excel
5. Knowledge of Systems - Global Material Create and Extension (Global MCE), SharePoint, Horizon, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft 360 Tools
