As the Engineering Manager, your role is to oversee a team, developing in-house products, guiding technical strategy, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. You champion Agile methodologies like Scrum, collaborate closely with other DevOps teams for efficient development pipelines. You drive excellence in engineering practices to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle in our E-Business landscape, contributing to HEINEKEN Internationals Evergreen strategy. You will work directly with the Product Owner(s) and Product Architect(s), understanding the business needs and helping Product Architect(s) to convert those needs into solution architecture specifications and services in line with overall engineering standards and roadmaps. The role sits within Digital & Technology as part of the E-Business team and will report directly to the Technology Manager.
responsibilities :
owning the Software Development Engineering (SDE) organization that is delivering eazle, our new global digital platform
leading a team of experienced SDE Leads, and their SDEs in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, reliable, and high performing software solutions
Hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and developing top engineering talent, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement
driving operational excellence, including code reviews, design reviews, testing, and deployment processes, to ensure high-quality software delivery
as frontrunner, elevating the Engineering build / ship mindset in HEINEKEN
overseeing team spirit, performance and being responsible for key hiring decisions
implementing good practices, coding standards and modern architecture for DevSecOps
ensuring the execution of DevSecOps is in place across all teams within a domain and aligned
inspiring, advising, and driving the selection of development approach for specific product
coordinating software development and addressing technical debt
overseeing code review and state-of-art quality of the stack
forming a view on GenAI application in our SDE practice
managing team budgets, including outsourcing partners
organizing and / or participating in hackathons
requirements-expected :
responsibility to ship secure and scalable solutions
belief in headless architecture setups and the composable MACH software movement
experience within set Enterprise Architecture guidance and boundaries
demonstrated experience in leading multiple teams of SDE Leads, and SDEs (ICs)
in-depth knowledge of and experience (> 8yrs) Marketing Automation platforms (SFMC, Microsoft, Adobe)
experience in working with JavaScript, SQL, Azure app service, Azure functions
knowledge of Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and pipelines
knowledge of building custom activities (Node.js, React)
knowledge APIs and GraphQL (Apollo Client and Apollo GraphOS)
worked in modular architecture, microservices, micro frontends, etc.
expertise in omnichannel campaign template designs
ability to work with Azure teams to comprise the best infra setup
ability to influence stakeholders as well as balance views
pragmatics skills, and you are collaborative team player
excellent written and verbal English skills
