Market Risk& Treasury Team Member with German | FS Consulting at PwC Polska. FS Consulting at PwC Poland is a vibrant team of experts helping financial institutions and large corporations in Poland and beyond tackle risk management challenges - from market and credit risk to operational risk and regulatory compliance. We’ve launched a new specialist group that works closely with PwC Germany’s Risk and Regulatory Practice. This team will deliver high-impact consulting projects for Germany’s financial sector. You’ll collaborate with our German colleagues, participate in cross-border projects, and may travel to Frankfurt.
We are looking for: Market Risk& Treasury Team Member with German.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out projects in the area of market risk related to: market and liquidity risk models, derivative pricing, trading book, banking book, and ALM, both in quantitative and qualitative terms.
- Developing tools for risk modeling and measurement using various technologies.
- Preparing reports and presentations, performing analyses, and developing financial models.
- Executing projects both individually and as part of a team.
- Daily cooperation with colleagues from the PwC Network, especially PwC Germany.
Qualifications / Apply if you have
- Fluency in English (C1 level or higher) and the ability to communicate in German.
- Practical knowledge in one of: derivatives pricing methods, market and/or liquidity risk management concepts OR
- Practical knowledge in one of: accounting models, trading, collateral management, clearing, and settlement, including relevant regulations (e.g. market infrastructure, market abuse).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Interest in topic development and active participation in the German FS-Risk practice teams; availability for occasional business travel to Germany.
- Willingness to learn new skills, proactive problem-solving, open and honest communication, and a structured, self-organized work approach with high-quality results.
Nice to have
- Experience in the financial sector (e.g., banking, insurance, asset management).
- Knowledge of programming languages (C#, Python, SQL, R, Matlab, SAS) and data-science packages (e.g., tidyverse, sklearn, data.table).
