Markdown Optimization Analyst

Your responsibilities

  • Setting markdown strategies (setting and providing guidance on optimal markdown parameters as well as rules based on category financial plans, determining optimal markdown strategy)
  • Recommending and executing optimized, progressive clearance markdowns or multi-buy promotions to maximize profit and sell-through, including utilizing forecasts of changes in sales, margin, and unit demand with markdown recommendations
  • Monitoring performance
  • Developing & issuing markdown performance reporting and analysis
  • Optimizing price strategies and tools - supporting the development and implementation of new markdown pricing optimization tools and processes and supporting change management through partnership with key cross-functional business areas such as Planning and Buying

Our requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in retail – price & inventory management or merchandise planning
  • University degree - masters degree (preferably economics, product, production management, mathematics, trade)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Excel - essential
  • MS Word, MS Power Point – very good
  • English – min B2
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and focus on details
  • Retail, Customer and Performance orientation
  • Ver good level of communicative& interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • High level of planning and organizing
  • “Can-do” attitude, openness to changes and proactivity
  • Creative thinking
