Manufacturing Test Engineer

  • Work on test software, hardware, and application-specific tooling for assigned product programs.

  • Develop and optimize manufacturing functional tests (electrical).

  • Develop statement of work (SOW) for test and programming processes/equipment.

  • Support kick-off meetings and MSD workshops with/in the PML for the assigned project.

  • Enforce proper requirements management for the assigned test process.

  • Facilitate test coverage analysis, ensuring adequate test coverage for the assigned process, and request design changes if coverage issues arise in early design phases.

  • Utilize 6-Sigma for statistical analysis to optimize CPK performance of electrical tests.

  • Track needed test equipment/tools and ensure availability of materials for equipment/tool development.

  • Perform test equipment buy-off at suppliers, drive capability studies, strain measurements, and create key parameter lists for quality transfer.

  • Document the test process properly, respecting APTIV processes and procedures.

  • Provide equipment training to PML test engineers, especially after PV.

  • Participate in escalation meetings on program management level when required.

  • Support the Global Test Site team with post-series test process tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or similar technical education.

  • Proficient in software development with languages such as National Instruments LabView, NI LabWindows CVI, NI TestStand, C++, or C.

  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols like CAN, LIN, LVDS, Flex-Ray, Broad@Reach, and memory device flashing concepts.

  • Knowledge of SSFT and statistical methods.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a global network environment.

  • Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive work style.

  • Business fluent in English.
