WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?
- Develop and maintain a standardized Bill of Process (BOP) for global EPS system manufacturing and assembly operations.
- Prepare equipment specifications, runoff documentation and machine qualification records for the TeamCenter PLM database.
- Develop, validate and implement new assembly equipment and tooling.
- Apply DFM/DFA principles and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability and cost optimization of new products.
- Support costing activities related to capital, tooling and lead‑time for manufacturing processes.
- Use project management methodologies to plan, execute and track assigned projects, including budget management.
- Support all Manufacturing Engineering (ME) milestones within the Customer Program Implementation (CPI) process.
- Drive process improvements using structured problem‑solving tools.
- Participate in global cross‑functional meetings to resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Communicate effectively with all key stakeholders – PDT members, supervisors, engineers, plant personnel and skilled trades – to meet project and customer requirements.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering or Machine Building preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing equipment design/build, or 7 years of automotive plant manufacturing experience.
- Working knowledge of machine servo presses and torque fastening systems.
- Familiarity with pneumatics and electrical control systems.
- Hands‑on experience with assembly processes.
- Understanding of machine design principles.
- Experience supporting process launches.
- Knowledge of GD&T and proficiency in 2D drafting or 3D modeling software.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal abilities and teamwork skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
