As a Manual Functional Tester, you will:
- Execute manual functional tests based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test documentation
- Log, track, and validate defects using the company’s issue tracking system (e.g., Jira)
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives)
- Learn and apply test automation with Playwright under mentorship and guidance
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and practices
An ideal candidate would have:
- 1–3 years of experience in manual functional testing of web or mobile applications.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Experience with bug reporting and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and communication skills
- Good written and spoken English
Nice to have:
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript or other programming/scripting languages
- Familiarity with test automation concepts or frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Understanding of API testing (Postman, Newman, etc.)
- Motivation to upskill in Playwright and automation best practices
