Manager Patent and Innovation Processes – A position at Aperam.

Mission

The Job holder manages the global innovation processes, including patent portfolio management and innovation processes (StageGate™ and APQP).

Responsibilities

• Patent Portfolio Management
  • Ensure protection of innovations.
  • Satisfy IP portfolio sanitation and cost monitoring.
  • Conduct patent searches, draft applications, and support prosecution.
  • Deliver KPI reporting and maintain patent surveillance.
  • Lead patent management committees as strategy requires.
• Innovation Platform Management – Product Innovation
  • Coordinate and lead StageGate/APQP activities across entities.
  • Maintain lean processes aligned to business needs.
  • Ensure process quality through deliverable checks and gap closure.
  • Conduct process audits and provide training.
  • Act as Global Administrator for the Digital Innovation Platform, collaborate with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Industrial, Mechanical, Business Informatics, or related) from a recognized school.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an international setting.
• Experience with StageGate™, APQP, and Agile innovation processes.
• Quality system knowledge: VDA 6.1, IATF 16949, EN 9100, ISO 13485, TL 9000, etc.
• Digital affinity and proven experience.
• Business fluent English; proficiency in French, German, Portuguese is an asset.
• Strong communication, assertive, and able to manage cultural differences.
