The Manager of Cyber Engineering and Ops is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of an organization’s cybersecurity framework. This individual leads a team of engineers and analysts, orchestrates the deployment of security solutions, and ensures the daily operational integrity of all security measures. The role is both technical and managerial, demanding a blend of cybersecurity expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision.

This position is within the Danaher Corporate Information Security team, reporting to Director of Architecture Engineering and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct, guide and develop a team of cybersecurity engineers to ensure expertise is maintained and operational effectiveness is achieved.
• Recruit talent, perform reviews, and promote ongoing learning.
• Develop and implement security strategies aligned with organisational goals and compliance needs.
• Evaluate emerging security technologies and make recommendations for their integration into the security architecture framework.
• Work closely with Security Engineers and other IT professionals to ensure the security architecture is maintained and up to date.
• Ensure that current tools and KPIs meet Danaher standards.
• Keep up to date with emerging security threats and trends and recommend new security measures and technologies as needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a security operations role.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices and security standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• High expertise in security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and vulnerability tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are a plus.
