Job Overview

The Manager, Indirect Customer & Application Insights Hub will establish and lead a segment function that defines Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), maps customer pain points, and consolidates market and distributor insights for targeted industries and applications across the Transportation Solutions (TS) segment.

This role ensures TS marketing and sales teams are equipped with actionable insights that strengthen indirect customer understanding, enable scalable marketing conversion programs, and support demand-generation initiatives. The role will be closely partnered with the Demand-Gen & Conversion Team to align insights with campaign objectives, content strategies, and execution plans. This position combines analytical rigor, technical capabilities, business acumen, and cross-functional influence to guide strategy and execution across product, sales, and marketing functions.

  • Lead the establishment of the Indirect Customer & Application Insights Hub as a segment capability within IGM.
  • Define and continuously refine ICPs, personas, and use-case/application maps for indirect customers and channels.
  • Partner with the Demand-Gen & Conversion Team to translate insights into actionable campaign objectives, content strategies, and execution plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Channel Sales, CX, and Marketing Ops to align insights with business priorities.
  • Translate complex data and distributor dynamics into actionable insights for industry studies, application mapping, customer journeys, and campaigns.
  • Build scalable processes for customer intelligence gathering and sharing across BUs and regions.
  • Leverage AI/ML tools, marketing automation, and advanced analytics to accelerate and scale insight generation.
  • Provide input on campaign prioritization, measurement metrics, and ROI evaluation based on customer insights.
  • Serve as an insight advisor to BU leaders, influencing persona development, messaging frameworks, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of B2B indirect customer dynamics, distributor networks, and channel-driven business models.
  • Analytical Expertise: Skilled at customer segmentation, funnel analysis, industry & application mapping, and turning data into business recommendations.
  • Technology Fluency: Comfortable with AI/ML applications, marketing automation, Salesforce, Eloqua, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Insight-to-Action Translation: Proven ability to create personas, ICPs, and actionable frameworks that inform marketing and sales execution.
  • Cross-functional Influence: Ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence without authority in a global matrix.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing multi-workstream projects, ensuring deliverables are timely and aligned with strategic priorities.

Your ideal background:

  • BA required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7–10 years of marketing, data analytics, business intelligence, or strategy experience in B2B/technology/industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in customer insights, segmentation, and persona development.
  • Strong track record of collaborating with sales, product, and marketing teams to drive measurable outcomes.
  • Industry Intimacy: Prior experience in transportation, industrial, AD&M, data & devices, or familiarity with TE connectors and solutions portfolio preferred
  • Exposure to marketing automation, AI/ML applications, and data-driven campaign optimization strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with ABM, digital plays, and distribution marketing campaigns is a plus.
  • Ability to connect customer insights with real-world applications and industry pain points.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex insights clearly.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and cultures in a global matrix organization
