What You Will Do
- Own and drive UPM’s regulatory e‑invoicing roadmap across markets, ensuring alignment with local mandates
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Group Tax, Indirect Tax team, IT, RTR/STP/CTC process areas and businesses to ensure alignment and shared ownership of compliance goals
- Act as single point of contact (SPOC) for external technology vendors for e‑invoicing compliance services, commercials and regulatory e‑invoicing country implementation project planning
- Collaborate closely with IT and business teams to ensure seamless integration of e‑invoicing compliance solutions into UPM’s system landscape, aligning technical implementation with regulatory requirements and business needs
- Ensure effective communication and change management across impacted teams and geographies
- Lead the development and maintenance of e‑invoicing compliance solution templates, guidelines, and concepts
- Define and maintain governance structures for e‑invoicing compliance, including roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths
- Support audit readiness by ensuring traceability, data integrity, and compliant archiving of e‑invoices in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on UPM’s invoicing and compliance processes
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, proposing enhancements, and leveraging automation and AI where feasible
- Facilitate cross‑functional workshops and steering meetings to drive decision‑making, resolve issues and ensure transparency
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on regulatory e‑invoicing matters, providing insights, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations
- Lead and support a team of two Senior Experts, fostering collaboration, accountability and professional growth
Who You Are
- You hold a university degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, tax, information systems or a related field
- You have a strong (7+ years) background in finance, tax or compliance, ideally with hands‑on experience in e‑invoicing or indirect tax processes
- You bring project management experience and are confident working with external vendors and cross‑functional teams
- You are ideally familiar with regulatory frameworks and digital compliance solutions
- You have excellent communication skills in English; other languages are a plus
- You are proactive, structured and thrive in a dynamic, international environment
- You are skilled in stakeholder engagement, able to build trust and alignment across diverse teams and senior leadership
- You are comfortable navigating change and ambiguity and can translate regulatory requirements into clear business and technical actions
- You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution
