As a Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, youll have the opportunity to shape the very foundation of the technology that drives our world. Your work will involve developing, testing, and maintaining the software that controls a computers operating system, hardware, and other systems software. Youll be a master troubleshooter and problem-solver, with the skills to fix even the most complex issues that arise.
Not only will you be responsible for ensuring the security of our computer systems, but youll also work closely with other IT professionals to design and implement cutting-edge technology that keeps Kyndryl ahead of the curve.
In this role, youll provide the underlying Mainframe operating system platform programming and DBDC subsystem programming support that forms the backbone of our applications. Youll guide functional objectives on technologies and make use of your expert knowledge to drive solutions to complex problems.
As a leader in this field, youll also be expected to conduct RCA discussions for the products you work on and provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to lead professional work teams. You may even manage departments on a national or international level, defining objectives and managing resources to ensure the success of your projects.

Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of hands-on experience with CICS Transaction Server for z/OS and IBM MQ on z/OS
Strong experience with installation, customization, and upgrades of CICS and MQ subsystems
Proficiency in managing CICS regions, including TOR/AOR/FOR setups, and MQ bridge configurations
Experience configuring and maintaining CICS-MQ integration, including trigger monitors, MQ-CICS adapter, and CICS transactions via MQ queues
Skilled in defining and maintaining CICS resources: programs, transactions, files, TDQs, TSQs, and URIMAPs
Strong understanding of inter-region communication, threadsafing, IPIC, and CICS Web Services support
Experience with CICS and MQ performance monitoring using tools such as Omegamon for CICS, CICS Explorer
Proficient in SMP/E, PTF, and RSU maintenance for both CICS and MQ
Familiarity with CICS exit points, user exits, and customization options
Skilled in handling abends, transaction dumps, MQ message dumps, and problem determination across both middleware layers
Experience with CICS system initialization parameters, CSD definitions, and plex management
Understanding of Sysplex, WLM, and Coupling Facility concepts as they relate to both CICS and MQ
Working knowledge of certificate management, RACF/TSS integration, and TLS/SSL security between CICS and MQ
Familiarity with JCL and automation tools for region startups, restarts, and health checks
Strong English communication skills and ability to coordinate across infrastructure, operations, and development teams
