As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be working for our client in the field of financial services. The Client’s Surveillance IT team is responsible for the software and hardware supporting primary Trade, eComms, Voice, and Unauthorized Trading applications. Internal users from the Regulatory Compliance function rely on this team for surveillance techniques, alert monitoring, and subsequent investigations into suspicious activity. 

Your main responsibilities:

• Deploying and managing machine learning models using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI
• Collaborating with data engineering and software development teams to ensure efficient data processing and analytics systems in production environments
• Developing and maintaining automated pipelines for model training, testing, and deployment
• Implementing version control (Git) and CI/CD processes for machine learning models
• Collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure scalability and reliability of machine learning infrastructure
• Optimizing and monitoring model performance in production

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience deploying and managing machine learning models in a production environment
• Career background in technology with 10+ years of experience in object-oriented software development of which 3+ years of practical data science role experience
• Strong Python skills and with practical knowledge of relevant libraries (TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PySpark)
• Strong GCP experience
• Experience with UNIX-based systems and Bash scripting
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for machine learning (Jenkins, Ansible)
• Understanding of infrastructure scalability and reliability
• Ability to troubleshoot and monitor model performance
• Attention to detail in documentation
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of financial services compliance and surveillance techniques
• Working Vertex AI knowledge
• Background in DevOps practices
• Understanding of security and compliance requirements
• Familiarity with CNCF & ELK monitoring stack
