responsibilities :

QIAGEN’s Digital Business Solutions leads digital transformation along the value chain, ensuring better customer service and customer satisfaction, investing in new businesses & technologies, and building & enhancing digital capabilities. The Data Science & AI Team is the cornerstone of this transformation and is looking for a new team member who is expected to:
-Take ownership of end-to-end machine learning & AI projects within a global organization, ensuring tasks are completed on time and meet project goals.
- Design and deploy advanced machine learning methods and develop algorithms/models to extract insights from various data sources that support business operations across the value chain.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and AI architecture, contributing to the ongoing improvement of the Data Science & AI department.

requirements-expected :

-Minimum 3 years hands-on industry experience with ML, AI, MLOps or data science projects.
-Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g.computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, bioinformatics); PhD optional.
-Expert and up-to-date knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
-Up-to-date knowledge in LLMs, Generative AI and agentic AI (incl. experience with Azure AI Foundry).
-Fluent in Python and in using common machine learning libraries (e.g., sklearn, pytorch/keras/tensorflow/langchain, etc.).
-Familiar with MLOps frameworks, machine learning model deployment formats as well as cloud based ML pipelines.
-Familiar with agile software development and knowledge of professional software development practices, tools for source control and project management especially MLflow, Git, JIRA and Azure DevOps.
