We are currently looking for German and English speakers for a position of Logistics Specialist with a focus on global customs (f/m/d) in import to join our team in Hub Warsaw for SI Buildings Division. The main mission of this role is to ensure the best-in-class customs conformity. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of customs and transport procedures and a basic knowledge of supply chain management.

We require 1 day of work from the office.

What will be your future tasks?

  • Check import, export, and EU deliveries of duty unpaid goods for conformity according to customs documents and instructions (e.g. number of packages, customs seal).
  • Coordinate clarifications with experts for non-conformity.
  • Act self-responsibly, for example, selecting the appropriate customs procedure and the nature of the transaction.
  • Determine the customs value independently.
  • Prepare customs declarations (e.g. HS-code, functional purpose, value, etc.) for tax return with a focus on the financial factor and submit to next levels of approval.
  • Provide the data and documents required for the import and check them for plausibility, obtaining the missing data from internal/external business partners to follow customs deadlines.
  • Prepare the monthly reports for the Federal Statistical Office and submit them directly in the exceptional handling for Sweden.
  • Cooperate closely with various internal departments and external business partners (globally).

If you:

  • Are good in written and verbal communication in German (C1) and English (B2).
  • Have completed commercial training in the field of freight forwarding/logistics or have proven min. 2 to 3 years experience in the logistics area.
  • Have further knowledge in supply chain management is a plus.
  • Have a high affinity for process optimization and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new topics.
  • Are familiar with ERP systems - preferably SAP and MS Office applications.
  • Act detail-oriented, prioritizing quality and accuracy to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Can keep an overview even in stressful situations.
  • Are a team player, actively listening to others and showing a constructive attitude.
  • Have a confident appearance in dealing with internal and external partners.
  • Are willing to travel upon request and necessity (up to 10%).
