Job Description:

As the first overseas subsidiary of BYD group, our main focus is to provide European customers with new energy vehicles, rechargeable batteries, solar panels, energy storage systems and other new energy products, as well as related after-sales services.

About the role:

Due to the expansion of our activities, BYD Europe is looking for a Logistics Specialist – Transport arrangement to work in the Vehicle Logistics department in Poland. The Vehicle Logistics department takes care of the inbound of all the vehicles that are imported from HQ and other factories in Europe, and also the distribution of those vehicles to Poland. This department is responsible for exploring the most suitable solutions for all logistics issues in the automotive division. The Logistics Specialist – Transport arrangement role is key to the success of fulfilling customer orders.

Responsibilities:

• Effective communication with all company departments in Europe, logistics colleagues from BYD China HQ, external communication with LSP (Logistics Service Providers) and dealers;
• Operations within different systems used for process control of cargo movement or finance control, such as CRM, ERP, or SAP;
• Organize and provide real-time information for POs and deliveries;
• Continuous improvement of the logistics flow;
• Control logistics costs and provide the most efficient logistics solutions;
• Daily communication with colleagues and LSPs;
• Arrange transport (trucking, shipping, or both) by selecting the most suitable suppliers;
• Daily contact with local logistics service partners to follow up on the real-time status of shipments;
• Keep track of all shipments and prepare necessary documents and payments;
• Arrange commercial documents (invoices, etc.) for related parties;
• Daily data maintenance and updates with systems and spreadsheets;
• Participate in setting up BYD logistics supplier list;
• Involved in monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers;
• Handle related paperwork for internal and external purposes;
• Monitor potential problems and bottlenecks and explore ways to improve workflow;
• Provide support to all procedures as needed.

Your profile:

• Preferably more than 3 years of related working experience or a graduate of a related field;
• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analysis, or Business Management;
• Excellent English skills; knowledge of Chinese, Polish, or any other European language is a plus;
• Stress-resilient with a problem-solving mindset;
• Team player with attention to detail.
