Huntsman Performance Products division is searching for a Logistic Lead EMEA to join the EMEA Supply Chain team based in Krakow. Reporting to the Logistics Manager EMEA, in your new role you will manage relationships with international forwarders and 3PL warehouses (located in The Netherlands) and be responsible for planning and coordinating Huntsman Performance Products’ international movement of goods. You will work to ensure that their products are transported efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with all relevant EMEA laws and regulations. Your new role will involve carrier management and process improvement to enhance our EMEA Logistics operations whilst maintaining cost efficiencies.

This role is for someone ambitious who aims to progress in their career and wants to become a manager in the near future.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Logistic Team Lead EMEA, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  1. Ensuring compliance with Huntsman’s EHS standards internally and among logistics service providers and their subcontractors to prevent incidents.
  2. Supporting Performance Products logistics operations across EMEA, including all transport modalities, storage of packed and bulk materials, tolling, customs, ancillary services, and packaging materials.
  3. Supporting the operational relationship with logistics service providers.
  4. Monitoring the performance of providers through supplier management, clear reporting, analysis and evaluation of KPIs, and adherence to contract agreement.
  5. Supporting logistics projects, such as simplifying business processes, minimizing logistics spend, optimizing efficiency, and identifying and onboarding new logistics service providers.
  6. Providing inputs into quarter-end close responsibilities, including revenue recognition impact from logistics activities.
  7. Providing inputs and participating in Corporate Purchasing tender projects for Logistics and Warehousing. Taking a role in tender award decision-making.
  8. Providing customs advice, and engaging in relevant projects, including a good working knowledge of relevant Incoterms.
  9. Supporting the team handling all service and supply chain-related costs and invoices, including cost and invoice approval, allocation, and payments.

Experience and Competencies:

We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution-focused approach.

What we are looking for:

  1. 2 + years of relevant experience with leadership responsibility for EMEA Logistics within a multinational corporation.
  2. Experience and knowledge of logistics in the chemical industry, and awareness of geopolitical forces impacting global and regional logistics is preferred.
  3. Good ability to drive results using analytical decision making, and building strong relationships.
  4. A strong practical approach with clear drive towards execution.
  5. Good communication skills to guide and influence others, experience in leadership of non-direct reports to achieve common objectives in different cultures.
  6. Flexible and able to manage concurrent priorities.
  7. Ability to travel 20%.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills: supports team with good skills in problem solving and root cause analysis.
  9. Working knowledge of European and Global deep sea freight transportation, European road/rail networks, and policies and practices of dangerous goods management.
  10. English required for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
