As a Linux Systems Administrator, you will oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of Linux-based systems and servers. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in supporting our development, production, and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Development and Maintenance: Lead Linux system migrations and upgrades to a standardized version. Simplify system administration, reduce redundancy, and improve efficiency. Plan and implement new infrastructure projects, enforcing SOPs for consistency.
2. System Administration: Optimize infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Ensure system high availability and redundancy. Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning. Monitor and resolve system performance issues.
3. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices. Ensure compliance with industry standards. Perform regular updates, patches, and security configurations. Minimize downtime and ensure data integrity.
4. Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts. Automate routine tasks and system deployments.
5. Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for internal teams. Document system configurations and procedures.

Skills:

1. Professional Experience: 3-4 years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
2. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat). Proficiency in scripting languages. Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Manage Engine). Understanding of Infrastructure Architecture, including frameworks and principles on which storage, systems, equipment, and resources are based, both on-premises and cloud-based.
3. Cloud and Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Azure). Skilled in using tools and systems to manage and monitor virtualized environments effectively.
4. Certifications and Additional Skills: ITIL Certification (highly desirable). Knowledge of containerization and cloud technologies (highly desirable).

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
