As a Linux-based TechOps Engineer, you will participate in a 24/7 operations team that operates, monitors, maintains and troubleshoots our global cloud service operations. We have extensive installations throughout the world. Our focus is on ensuring reliable and predictable operations.

Working Hours and Schedule: This role requires adherence to a shift work schedule. The workweek consists of four working days of 10 hours each, followed by three days off (40 hours a week). You may expect to work on holidays, however, you can always trade shifts with colleagues.

You will be assessed according to the criteria below:  

  1. Technical skills: We are looking for candidates proficient in Linux and Ubuntu with all the necessary skills.
  2. Team collaboration: You must be able to negotiate with the team regarding improvements to our product and structures.
  3. Language: Being able to speak, write, and collaborate in English is essential for this role. We require at least an upper-intermediate level.
  4. Proactive approach: We are looking for a candidate who prefers stability and working space clarity, is passionate about searching and finding solutions, and has attention to detail..

Required skills:

  • About 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good Linux knowledge
  • Networking skills; firewalling, NAT, VLAN, …
  • Solid Debian/Ubuntu experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and good familiarity with the command line
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Structure and discipline

Bonus skills:

  • Experience with Postgres and Pacemaker/Corosync
  • Familiarity with ITIL, ISO27001, ISAE3402
