LIMS LabVantage Engineer (M/K)

The LIMS LabVantage Engineer plays a key role in maintaining, configuring, and continuously improving the global Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) environment used across multiple Quality Control laboratories worldwide. This role combines hands‑on technical expertise with a solid understanding of laboratory processes to ensure the stability, compliance, and scalability of the LIMS platform. The engineer collaborates with global and local teams, ensuring alignment with business needs, regulatory expectations, and IT governance standards.

Job Tasks

  • Configure, customize, and maintain the global LabVantage LIMS environment (including workflows, sample lifecycles, instruments, and interfaces)
  • Implement and validate system changes in compliance with GxP and CSV (Computerized System Validation) requirements
  • Participate in global LIMS projects (upgrades, integrations, new site deployments, LES extensions, data migration, etc.)
  • Design and implement instrument integrations (direct connections, via middleware, or through system capabilities)
  • Support integration with enterprise systems such as ERP, ELN, SDMS, and Manufacturing systems
  • Troubleshoot incidents and problems, ensuring timely root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with business process owners, QA, infrastructure, and vendor teams to deliver high‑quality solutions
  • Contribute to data governance initiatives – ensuring consistency, accuracy, and traceability of laboratory data
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation, configuration guides, and operational procedures

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in LIMS configuration, support, or development, with LabVantage preferably 8.x.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory processes in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related regulated environments
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and Jasper Reports (or equivalent reporting tools)
  • Experience with system integrations (e.g., via REST APIs, web services, or message queues)
  • Working knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and CSV requirements
  • Experience in incident management, change control, and working within ITIL frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross‑functional environment
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with LabVantage LES, ELN, or SDMS modules
  • Familiarity with Azure, Oracle infrastructure
  • Understanding of data migration strategies and validation documentation practices
  • Previous experience in multi‑site LIMS rollouts or global support models
