We are seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Counsel to join our Oversea Legal & Compliance team. This pivotal role is based in Warsaw and supports Dahua Technology’s legal and compliance operations across the European region. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and compliant operation of the Company’s fleet.

As part of the Oversea Legal & Compliance Department, you will work closely with the overseas teams to oversee risk management and compliance initiatives within the Pan-European region. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all activities initiated by Dahua Technology headquartered in Hangzhou China or triggered by European legislation are managed effectively, establishing and maintaining robust compliance programs across our European subsidiaries and branches.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong legal background, practical experience in corporate and commercial law, and a strategic, proactive mindset to navigate complex cross-border legal environments. You will serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory, compliance, and operational standards to ensure the company’s adherence to local and international laws.

Responsibilities

  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Lead and coordinate Dahua’s risk and compliance processes, establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to prevent violations and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Compliance Program Support: Assist in implementing compliance programs covering antitrust, data protection (e.g., GDPR), AI regulation, GPSR, product‑related compliance legislation and other emerging legal areas, ensuring alignment with local and international standards.
  • Staff Compliance Training & Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to promote a compliance culture and best practices within the organization.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Maintain communication with local authorities, regulators, and compliance bodies regarding standards, legal interpretations, and formal correspondence.
  • Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide spectrum of commercial agreements, including procurement, sales, leasing, and rental contracts (office, vehicles, etc.).
  • Legal Support for Business Operations: Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to local subsidiaries, including addressing cross-departmental legal inquiries, supporting new business initiatives, and conducting internal legal & compliance training on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Legal Research & Advice: Interpret and analyze European laws and regulations, preparing legal memos or advice tailored to business needs.
  • Dispute Management: Oversee and advise on legal disputes such as employment issues, commercial contract disputes, product liability claims, etc.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other legal or compliance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field; a degree from a Polish member state is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Polish/EU civil, commercial, labor, product compliance, data protection, competition law, environmental regulation, and corporate laws.
  • At least 2–3 years of legal & compliance experience, ideally within an in‑house multinational or a prestige law firm.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess legal risks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English and Polish, both written and spoken.
  • High integrity, collaboration‑oriented mindset.
  • Chinese educational background or proficiency in Chinese language is a plus.
