As a Lease Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of end-to-end lease accounting processes in line with IFRS 16 and JSOX requirements. The role supports governance, controls, reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Lease Accounting team.
- Ensure timely execution of end-to-end lease accounting processes, including initial recognition, modifications, terminations, and monthly postings in line with IFRS 16 and JSOX requirements.
- Support the Team Lead and Experts in governance of processes and controls to maintain a strong control environment and compliance with internal policies.
- Support Experts in complex and non-standard activities, including audit queries, ad hoc projects, system testing, and implementation of new lease accounting functionalities.
- Perform reconciliations and reporting for lease-related accounts, ensuring accuracy of lease liabilities and right-of-use assets and proper audit documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support automation within lease accounting operations.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in a multinational environment, preferably within a Shared Service Centre.
- Experience or exposure to lease accounting or fixed assets is an advantage.
- Familiarity with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Strong command of English (oral and written).
- SAP proficiency; experience with SAP S/4HANA and Lease Accounting (SAP CLM) is a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
