Job Description
In this role, you are responsible for lean management activities across the region, aiming to continuously improve performance at all production sites in Europe.
- Define the lean management strategy for Operations Europe and ensure alignment with corporate and regional strategies
- Align lean roadmaps of all plants with regional strategy
- Develop and monitor a scorecard to measure daily performance of each plant
- Drive improvements in space utilization, material flow, and lead times
- Lead training and development for the M+H Production System (MHPS)
- Facilitate workshops (Kaizen, Hoshin, VSM, 5S, SMED, Layout) to enhance production and logistics efficiency
- Share best practices across the region
- Build and lead a high-performing team of lean managers and experts to foster a lean mindset in Europe
Role Summary
As a Lean Manager, you will oversee lean activities, focusing on continuous performance improvements across European production sites.
Your Challenges
- Develop and implement the lean management strategy for Europe
- Ensure consistency between plant roadmaps and regional strategy
- Track performance metrics daily via a comprehensive scorecard
- Enhance space, material flow, and lead times
- Manage training needs related to MHPS
- Coordinate and facilitate efficiency workshops
- Promote best practice sharing across the region
- Lead and develop a team of lean professionals
Your Profile
- University degree in (Industrial) Engineering or similar
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Expertise in LEAN tools and production processes (pleating, welding, assembly)
- Knowledge of M+H products and manufacturing preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365; SAP experience advantageous
- Business-fluent in English
- Hands-on mindset, strong shopfloor orientation
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and network effectively
- Willingness to travel
