As a Lead Architect - WAF / CDN / Akamai, you will lead the design and implementation of Akamai WAF, CDN, and Bot Protection solutions as part of a new Azure landing zone architecture. You will play a critical role in migrating on-premises systems to the cloud, ensuring robust security and performance through optimized configurations and seamless integration with Azure Application Gateways.
responsibilities :
Lead the design and deployment of Akamai WAF, CDN, and Bot Protection within a new Azure landing zone architecture.
Assess and optimize existing Akamai configurations, including downstream proxy server rules for on-premises systems.
Develop and execute a WAF/CDN migration plan, ensuring alignment with the overall cloud transformation strategy.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and deploy new security components and CDN solutions.
Ensure seamless integration of WAF and CDN solutions with Azure Application Gateways and other cloud-native services.
Support post-migration operations, ensuring smooth handover to operational teams.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise during the migration and post-migration phases.
requirements-expected :
Proven experience as a Lead Architect or Solution Architect working with Akamai, WAF, and CDN technologies.
In-depth knowledge of Akamai WAF, Bot Protection, and CDN solutions.
Experience with Azure Application Gateway, Cloudflare, and/or Azure Front Door is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of cloud environments, especially Azure and its security and network services.
Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of leading complex migration projects in a cloud transformation context.
