The Lead / Senior QA Automation Engineer will be a part of the Scrum team located in Warsaw with the Product Owner on the Danish side. The team is responsible for building the Elements application for the Danish market.
responsibilities :
Designing and developing test automation frameworks based on industry’s best practices, using modern tools and technologies (e.g., TypeScript, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
Creating, maintaining, and optimizing automated test suites, APIs, and backend systems, including tests based on event-driven architecture (testing asynchronous systems, event queues, message brokers).
Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD process (Azure pipelines) to ensure ongoing quality verification throughout the development lifecycle.
Analyzing business and technical requirements in cooperation with development teams, analysts, and product owners to define the scope and priorities of testing.
Identifying, reporting, and analyzing defects in defect tracking systems (Azure DevOps), and collaborating with developers to resolve them.
Conducting regression, integration, and system tests in automated and, when necessary, manual environments.
Monitoring software quality and recommending improvements to testing processes, including the adoption of new automation tools and practices.
Preparing test result reports and recommendations for production deployments.
requirements-expected :
Deep knowledge and experience in Kafka/other event brokers - testing asynchronous and event-driven behaviors.
TypeScript - Ability to use testing frameworks.
Automated testing API frameworks.
MS SQL - Ability to write SQL to verify the data in case of issues.
API testing tools.
Containerization and management tools (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes) - Ability to understand the basics of how it works, what a pod, deployment, container, etc., are.
Deep knowledge and experience in testing frameworks and tools (like Playwright or Selenium).
Experience with data lake systems and Spark
A solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts such as encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorphism is required.
Working experience in SCRUM and distributed teams.
Fluency in communication, both in English and Polish
Ability and attitude to learn new things
