Lead Senior Product Manager, BaseOS and System Health

In this role, you will work cross‑functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development. One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world‑changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the worlds information. Were responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Product Managers that steward overall System Health and BaseOS priorities, including areas such as Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
• Define the outlook for the data team to best inform strategic leadership decision‑making and ensure the team has relevant information needed to prioritize optimizations and identify potential regressions.
• Partner with Engineering teams, Data Scientists, and User Research to define and build features that are simple and speedy while navigating tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and peer product managers in other offices such as Krakow, Munich, San Jose, Boulder, Kirkland, Tokyo, and New York.
• Define the outlook for device power, performance, and stability over near‑term and long‑term. Establish a feature roadmap, intermediary milestones, and identify technology investment opportunities.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 3 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.
• 3 years of people management experience with direct reports and in technical leadership.

Preferred qualifications

• Masters degree in a technology or business related field.
• 5 years of experience working cross‑functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
• 5 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
• 4 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
• 3 years of experience in software development or engineering.
• Knowledge of, or continued interest in building accessibility best practices, and experience/curiosity for incorporating accessibility into product development methodologies.
