Overview
We’re looking for a senior software engineer with deep SAP CPI expertise to lead a long‑term project for a global automotive brand. The role focuses on designing and developing robust SAP CPI solutions that integrate SAP systems with cloud and on‑premises platforms, overseeing a small team of developers, shaping integration architecture, and ensuring reliable, high‑performance production operations.
Responsibilities
- Own the client integration landscape and design scalable SAP CPI solutions that connect SAP systems with cloud and on‑prem platforms.
- Lead the development of CPI adapters, iFlows, and integration logic for inbound and outbound interfaces.
- Supervise ABAP and CPI developers, ensuring code quality, security, and performance best practices.
- Shape integration architecture, design reusable iFlows, and manage exception handling across multiple SAP environments.
- Monitor production operations, troubleshoot CPI security, monitoring, and error‑handling issues, and provide timely support.
- Collaborate with architects, integration teams, and stakeholders to align solution design with business requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing integration flows using SAP CPI.
- Strong proficiency in XML, XSLT, Groovy, OData, and REST APIs.
- Hands‑on experience with CPI security, monitoring, and error‑handling.
- Experience developing inbound/outbound interfaces across cloud and on‑prem SAP environments.
- Ability to design reusable iFlows, define custom and standard iFlows, and manage exception handling.
- Proficiency with SAP CPI adapters: SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST, API.
- Experience with value mapping tables and applying them within iFlows.
- Strong background in integrating with SAP Cloud Commerce and handling high‑volume transactions.
- Experience supervising development teams and ensuring code quality standards.
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with architects and integration teams.

- Understanding of IT service processes (e.g., incident management).
