Your responsibilities

Represent Jacobs in front of the client including ownership of the projects and required deliverables
Lead multidisciplinary project teams located in disperse locations, including UK, Poland, Germany, India and other countries
Multidisciplinary coordination of all design efforts
Close collaboration with construction teams at site as required
Communicate proactively and effectively with all stakeholders as required
Manage project programme and ensure the target dates are achievable
Ensure quality of works is meeting project specification and any internal and external standards
Ensure the project budget is managed throughout, work closely with project manager to ensure the projects’ expectations are met
Support design team as and when required

Our requirements

A Bachelor or Master of Science in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited engineering school, ideally in electrical engineering. Other disciplines will also be considered.
Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills to manage teams and projects effectively.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution or similar market.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical or civil engineering design principles and practices, particularly in the energy sector up to 400kV, especially EHV or HV Substations, or HV Cable or OHL systems.
Design Experience: Knowledge and experience of EHV / HV Substation design principles are desirable.
Fluent English spoken and written to allow confident communication with the client, stakeholders, project manager and design teams.
