About the Role
Lead Process Control Engineer – the role is based in Kraków, Poland and will report to the Process Control Discipline Manager. The position involves design and implementation of process control systems for petrochemical or refinery industries.
Responsibilities
- Perform design tasks for Process Control for petrochemical or refinery industry.
- Contribute to preparation of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Participate in review meetings (HAZOP, etc.).
- Develop Process Control designs together with Process engineer, e.g., P&IDs, Control Narratives, Interlock & Permissives/Cause and Effects.
- Prepare Functional Diagrams/Logic Diagrams.
- Possible development into Process Control Lead Engineer, Design Authority and TCL Expert.
- Develop innovative and creative Process Control solutions for our customers.
- Supervise pre‑commissioning, commissioning and start‑up on site.
- Potential mid‑term development for other positions e.g., Engineering Manager, Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Automation or Instrumentation.
- Experience in a plant engineering company as Process Control engineer highly appreciated.
- Ability to work independently on preparation of proposals and execution of projects for instrumentation for domestic and international projects.
- Proficient in English (both spoken and written).
- Computer skills – knowledge of MS Office, ACAD, Smart Plant Instrumentation preferred.
- Willing to travel (1‑3 months) to other engineering centers and construction sites worldwide.
- High interpersonal skills.
