This Lead Engineer position is an individual contributor engineer within the GE Aerospace Integrated Manufacturing Engineering team. As a hardware owner you will own all engineering functions related to Rotating Parts commodity for GE shops for Small Commercial engines (LEAP, P20). In this role, you will be on the front lines of the organization that is dedicated to improving the producibility, enhancing the Engineering‑Supply chain relationship, and using SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) to dramatically improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fulfil our customers expectations.
The scope of the role includes activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. It also includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. The role impacts departmental operations and will be responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.
