Salary: £67,000 - 67,000 per year

• Strong experience in data engineering or QA data engineering within modern data platforms.
• Proven expertise in automated data testing and validation (e.g. expectations-based frameworks).
• Advanced skills in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of ETL/ELT and data modelling.
• Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Deep understanding of data quality, governance, lineage, and observability concepts.
• Confidence influencing technical and non-technical stakeholders at senior levels.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or setting standards for other engineers.

• Own and lead the end-to-end data quality and testing strategy across data pipelines and platforms.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks for batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Define and enforce data quality rules, metrics, and monitoring across key datasets.
• Integrate data testing and validation into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.
• Partner with Data Engineers to review pipeline design, transformations, and schema changes.
• Lead root-cause analysis for data incidents and drive long-term preventative improvements.
• Establish documentation, standards, and governance processes for data quality and assurance.
• Mentor and develop engineers, embedding strong quality engineering practices across teams.
