The position is based in Gdynia, Poland and is a 2 year international assignment on an MOU with additional compensation emoluments with possible to extend.
Manufacturing Operations overseas the development of manufacturing processes for products, selection of CCA processing equipment within a fixed budget and schedule, taking into consideration problems inherent in the transfer of technology from research to production. Such design and development may include new or revised processes and CCA redesign for produce ability. Conducts tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables and services, troubleshoots and solves production process problems with processes or equipment already in operation. They are the process owners for the assemblies that flow through the value streams. They utilize lean manufacturing skills to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value. Will utilize best practices and lesson learned to increase yield and throughput.
Responsibilities
- Member of Raytheon Polska staff based in Poland in support of the LTAMDS and Patriot IPTs
- Responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of production-related activities at a Polish supplier’s site
- Coordinate development and cross-functional review cycles for manufacturing data packages (MDPs) including work instructions, internal procedures, special processes, and other required manufacturing documents to meet defense and Raytheon standards
- Develop the Polish supplier’s capability to manufacture products that meet defense and Raytheon standards and coordinate the development of the Production Readiness Review (PRR) in support of POM development and transition to production
- Support partner manufacturability reviews
- Manage the coordination of program schedules with ISC, Subcontracts, Engineering, and other CBTs
- Influence factory throughput through capacity analysis, line balancing, and theory of constraint principles
- Utilize LEAN & CORE principles to drive a continuous improvement culture and initiatives in support of international manufacturing operations, including to streamline manufacturing flow, and improve cycle time, safety, quality, and delivery
- Support special process audits and First Article inspections
- Support Test Readiness Review (TRR) and Ship Readiness Review (SRR)
- Engage with partner cold line production start, mitigating technical and performance risk by participating in engagements which will include requirements reviews, documenting recommended risk mitigation/opportunity activities as they relate to design and manufacturing, review and disposition of SDRLs
- Develop Facility Requirements Documentation and Facility Site Inspections for deployment of CCA Production Equipment
- Support weekly subcontractors and internal team tag up meetings
- Monitor Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools, Production schedules, WIP (shop floor), Non-conformances and Corrective actions against delivery commit dates
- Participate in partner RESA activities
Qualifications You Must Have
- A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
- Experience with current manufacturing systems and processes
- Experience in transition from design to production
- Experience using design tools such as PDM, AutoCAD, VISIO, and MS Office
- Experience with cross functional teams, with representatives from Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, IPT Leadership, Program Management teams
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Security clearance is not required but may be required at a later date.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience supporting international subcontractors in a production environment
- Experience in Sub-contractor management in production of Circuit Card Assemblies
- Working knowledge or experience with Circuit Card Assembly processes and/or LTAMDS or Patriot products
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
- Experience in production of complex systems with ability to use analytical tools and methods
- Experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles (5S, Kanban, Takt Time, Optimal product work-flow)
- Experience with detailed program and production planning, capacity analysis and labor planning
- Support Mission Assurance in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activity
- Demonstrated technical, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Advocate for process improvement, team builder and able to build strong relationships with partner and internal resources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with external suppliers
- Ability to influence others regarding policies, practices and procedures
- Works autonomously with limited oversight from manager
- Ability to direct other engineers and support functions (Supply Chain, Quality etc.) in support of CCAs production

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including experience, location, education, and key skills.
