We are currently looking for a Lead CAD Engineer for a permanent position in Gdynia, Poland. The successful candidate will become a core member of Wärtsilä Gas Solutions (GS) Drafters Team, working closely with the Process Discipline Manager to create a dynamic and highly efficient team, supporting Process Engineers by transforming technical markups and instructions into P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) using Autodesk Plant 3D. The ideal candidate will play an integral part in the project lifecycle by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in the preparation and delivery of P&IDs.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Use Plant 3D to develop, modify, and finalize high-quality P&IDs based on engineers instructions, compatible with 3D models to be developed on their basis.
  2. Coordinate with Process Engineers to address any discrepancies or technical challenges during drafting, managing and implementing design changes on P&IDs during project execution.
  3. Adhere to project timelines and company/project quality standards and requirements while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  4. Facilitate coordination and training of new CAD Engineers.

Our requirements:

  1. Education: Minimum of B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Software Skills: Fluency in using Autodesk Plant 3D for developing P&IDs; prior experience with ACC will be an advantage.
  3. Attention to Detail: Strong ability to interpret technical instructions and ensure precision in execution.
  4. Collaboration Skills: Effective communication and teamwork abilities to interact with engineers on different projects and other team members.
  5. Adaptability: Ability to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and meeting deadlines.
  6. Language Skills: Good English language skills, both verbally and in writing.
