Overview

The client is undergoing a major transformation to build and deliver a world‑class Identity & Access Management service. Due to the growing sophistication of cyber threats and regulatory expectations, the organization is transitioning from a legacy toolset to a modern, policy‑driven IDAM solution enabling dynamic access control, real‑time governance, and secure authentication across both human and non‑human identities. The role of Lead Automation Test Engineer is key in developing automation frameworks, integrating with CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring the team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks and scripts for web and database applications.
  • Create and manage Jenkins pipelines for running automated tests, generating reports, and notifying the team to streamline the CI/CD process.
  • Perform Web UI and API testing (RestAssured).
  • Lead, mentor, and manage other engineers within the team.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, test data, and scenarios based on requirements and technical specifications.
  • Report and track defects, participate in triage meetings, and verify bug fixes. Identify process and application issues and suggest improvements.
  • Deploy automation solutions based on evolving project needs.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams on SIT/OAT/UAT scenario definitions.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in automation testing and framework creation (Java, SQL).
  • Proven experience writing automated test scripts in JavaScript.
  • Hands‑on experience with tools such as Selenium WebDriver IO (WDIO), Cucumber, and RestAssured.
  • Experience integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience testing in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Xephyr, and GitOps Repos.
  • Knowledge of API Testing, Batch ETL Testing, SaaS Testing.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of testers.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Identity & Access Management.
  • Knowledge of SailPoint IdentityIQ, SCIM, REST API, LDAP, OIDC.
  • Experience testing graph database management systems (GDBMS).
  • Familiarity with tools like QMetry, TestRail, Postman, Insomnia.
  • Experience with BDD/TDD practices.
