We’re looking for an experienced Lead Architect / Program Lead to join the biggest migration project in Europe. This is a highly visible, global migration program, moving from on-premise Oracle to Snowflake on AWS . You'll be responsible for architectural decisions, technical leadership, and ensuring a smooth transition, all while working closely with stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll be doing:
✅ Leading and overseeing the end-to-end cloud migration strategy from Oracle to Snowflake on AWS.
✅ Providing technical guidance and decision-making for a cross-functional team, ensuring best practices in Snowflake optimization, performance, and scalability.
✅ Acting as a trusted advisor for business and IT stakeholders, mediating between different teams to align goals and priorities.
✅ Ensuring seamless integration with existing tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, Talend, SAP BW, and S3.
✅ Leveraging dimensional modeling and Data Vault methodologies to enhance data products and analytics.
✅ Implementing DevOps/DataOps pipelines with GitLab, CI/CD, and enterprise schedulers (AutomateNow, Control-M, UC4).
✅ Conducting architecture reviews, cost optimizations , and risk assessments to ensure a scalable and future-proof cloud environment.
✅ Participating in quarterly face-to-face workshops (travel required).
What makes you a great fit:
✔ 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud migration and enterprise architecture.
✔ Expertise in Snowflake – including performance tuning, optimization, and best practices.
✔ Experience with ETL migration & replacement , particularly Informatica PowerCenter and Talend.
✔ Strong dimensional modeling & Data Vault knowledge.
✔ Deep understanding of cloud data platforms (AWS, Snowflake) and distributed databases .
✔ Proficiency in GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps/DataOps methodologies.
✔ Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills – the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, from technical teams to executives.
✔ Ability to work in an EMEA timezone and travel for on-site workshops (2x per quarter).
Nice to have:
➕ Experience with SAP BW and S3 connectivity .
➕ Familiarity with API integrations and PowerCenter automation .
➕ Previous involvement in large-scale enterprise cloud migrations .
➕ Hands-on experience with enterprise schedulers (AutomateNow, Control-M, UC4).
