As a Lab Engineer, you will be a core member of the software/firmware development team. You will participate in design, creation and assembly of the tests beds for embedded systems. You will be responsible for maintaining the the laboratory of more than 500 Linux based test-beds.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead operations of the team for a set of testing activities performed in the laboratory
- Design and configuration of new test-beds (create prototypes, approve with engineering teams, integrate into testing process)
- Updating test-beds environment using Ansible
- Troubleshoot and fix issues related to test-beds, lab infrastructure and network
- Automate and simplify laboratory processes to increase efficiency
- Infrastructure monitoring using Prometheus and Grafana. Perform system configuration, metrics collection, creation of dashboards, alerts
- Cooperate with suppliers to order components and equipment for laboratory
- Support engineering teams to solve problems connected to testing activities in the laboratory
- Create and improve documentation
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Technical high school degree of electrical, mechanical, electronic or similar specialization
- A minimum of 3 years of related experience as a Lab Engineer / System Administrator / QA Engineer
- Experience in support of microprocessor based digital and/or analog circuitry and power electronics
- Knowledge of computer networks and WiFi
- Strong Linux knowledge
- Understanding electrical and basic electronics principles
- Soldering experience
- English B1 or higher
- Analysis and troubleshooting skills
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Health and Safety rules in laboratory rooms
- Basic experience with scripting languages: bash or Python
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
