The Opportunity

As a member of the Merchant Monitoring team, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing risk assessment of merchants. Your responsibilities will include conducting periodic reviews to ensure their continued viability for payment processing. This will involve performing customer due diligence to verify that merchants comply with KYC and AML regulations, while also considering factors such as their business background, type, financial stability, and potential risks related to fraud or chargebacks. Additionally, you will ensure that merchants adhere to all applicable standards and regulations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities



  1. KYC and Risk Assessment : Perform KYC and risk assessments for various merchants.
  2. Periodic Reviews : Conduct regular evaluations of existing merchants, verify documentation, and request additional information as necessary.
  3. Sanction and PEP Screening : Execute screenings to ensure compliance with regulations.
  4. Merchant Website Monitoring : Continuously monitor merchant websites for compliance and risk factors.
  5. Cross-Team Collaboration : Work closely with various stakeholders, including sales, compliance, and other risk departments, to ensure a seamless monitoring process.

What We Are Looking For



  1. KYC Experience : At least 3 years of prior experience in KYC, AML compliance, or merchant risk assessment.
  2. Strong Analytical Skills : Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex information.
  3. Problem-Solving Mindset : A proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
  4. International Experience : Familiarity with working in a global environment.
  5. Technical Proficiency : Competence in navigating various computer systems and programs.
  6. Nordic Language Skills : Knowledge of a Nordic language is a plus.
