Job Description

Were looking for an experienced Kotlin Developer for a large media company in the Netherlands and Belgium. The team is working with a wide technology stack - Java, React, Golang, Kotlin, AWS, etc. The candidate needs to have Mid/Senior experience as a developer, be able to work smoothly with the team and individually, and know how to prioritize their work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Making sure the systems, which are currently supporting the Dutch market, can also support the Belgian market with its different needs.
• You’ll be working with the newest techniques, like serverless and cloud-based solutions. You’ll think about the possible solutions and realize these.
• Continuously develop and release new code to production within an Agile work environment.
• “You build it, you run it”; meaning you will take full responsibility as a team for delivering good working software and maintaining it.
• Continuously improve our services to make them more robust, scalable, and reliable.
• Together with your peers, you define the software architecture of the services.
• Sharing knowledge within our group of backend developers and together making sure our platform evolves continuously.
• You are an independent, self-motivated, and fast-learning backend developer who has worked in various complex environments.
• You love to work in a team with colleagues who are passionate about delivering high-quality products.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot (Mid/Senior Developer);
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud environments (such as SNS, SQS, API Gateway );
• Knowledge and skills in deployment using Infrastructure as Code (we use AWS CDK );
• Experience in development and design of RESTful services and APIs ;
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and design ;
• Used to working with modern, highly automated CI/CD processes and methods ;
• Knowledge of English language at a minimum B2/C1 level .

Nice to have

• Experience with building highly secure and/or highly available systems;
• Experience with Akamai;
• AWS Certifications.

Additional Information

• Work model: Remote based in Poland (possibility to travel to Riga DC/Client location max once a quarter);
• Type of contract: B2B ;
• Start: 1 - 1.5 month
• Rate: up to 175 PLN/h net + VAT ;
• Project length: 1 year + possibility of extension
