Overview

Location: Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote. EY GDS Poland presents an opportunity to interact within an international environment and work with influential market players.

As a Kotlin Backend Engineering Manager in Consulting, you will participate in multiple implementation streams, collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client goals, and apply the latest data technologies and cloud platforms within a global team.

Responsibilities

• Work as a Senior Kotlin Backend Developer in creating a new application based on microservices
• Collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client goals
• Participate in design and test activities

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin in backend applications with 7+ years of professional experience
• Practical experience with microservices
• Knowledge of Quarkus and OpenAPI is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and at least one database engine
• Experience with source code management, CI, and automated deployment
• Nice to have knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and Maven
• Very good English language verbal and written communication
• Experience working in international projects
• Experience in agile/scrum methodology

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or other technical qualification
• 7+ years in a corporate IT environment in similar positions
• Demonstrable experience with Kotlin and microservices in projects
• Strong communication skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud products and services
• Certificates in Kotlin, Java, Spring, SQL, AWS or Azure Cloud will be advantageous
