TransPerfect Games is a leading provider of bespoke videogame services, including translation, functional and localization game testing, certification testing, focus group and playtesting, player support, community management, cybersecurity, tool development, art design, game writing, GDPR consultancy, and voice‑over recording.
Important Information
- This is a mandatory contract position.
- You must have the right to work in Warsaw. Polish citizenship, EU citizenship, permanent residency, or a relevant work permit/visa is required.
- The role is onsite; you will work Mon‑Fri, 8 hrs per day at our Warsaw office.
Position Overview
The Game Localization QA Tester works with a testing team to identify and fix localization issues. Responsibilities include manual testing across gaming platforms, writing detailed bug reports, regression testing, and ensuring linguistic quality of localized content.
Position Responsibilities
- Identify, isolate, and document localization and linguistic issues and verify fixes using test tools or databases.
- Follow and complete test cases and checklists to perform targeted testing.
- Write bug descriptions based on company standards and client specifications.
- Apply knowledge of user preferences in the target market to influence product decisions.
- Proactively seek gaps in test coverage.
- Collaborate with partner teams during testing.
- Provide constructive feedback on gameplay, fun factor, and game balance.
- Complete any additional tasks deemed appropriate for the role.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Regular game player with a passion for the video‑games industry.
- Native Korean language ability with excellent spelling and grammar.
- Good command of English for instructions, documentation, and communication.
- High school diploma required; a degree in computer science, game design, or a related field is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a "can‑do" attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Understanding of digital technologies (mobile, tablets, browser tools, etc.).
- Team‑oriented and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.
Bonus if You Have
- Immediate availability.
- Game Testing experience.
- Experience with software localization or quality assurance, or a related role in video games.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies.
- Experience with game localization.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as JIRA, Mantis, ADO, Bugzilla, etc., or CAT tools (SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.).
