We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Kong Konnect to join our Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on enabling self-service API management, governance, and observability across the organization.
The ideal candidate will also bring hands-on experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure, helping to scale and operate the API platform across hybrid cloud environments.
responsibilities :
Kong support and operation
Deployment and configuration using the admin API via Bamboo plans
Infrastructure management (on premise and cloud)
Ensuring the proper operation of Kubernetes clusters in all environments
Provide guidance on using Kong features and best practices within the organization
Assist in onboarding of new application teams and guide them in using Kong effectively
requirements-expected :
3+ years of experience with Kong Gateway, including at least 1 year with Kong Konnect in production environments
Experience working as part of a platform engineering or infrastructure team
Strong knowledge of API management, REST and microservices architecture
Kubernetes experience is strongly recommended, including managing services and ingress through Kong Gateway
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Helm and GitOps practices
Understanding of identity and security protocols including OAuth2, OpenID Connect and JWT
Strong scripting or automation experience (e.g., Bash, Python)
