This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. A Key Account Manager acts as both sales engineer and sales representative for the entrusted business line. This is a B2B customer facing function with daily liaison with C-level management, middle management as well as technical specialists dealing with solutions in the field of energy metering, measurements and automation. Specifically, we are looking for a new team member to manage our heat and water business on a regional level understanding the principles of heating networks, heat stations as well as cooling / heating installations / water utilities.
Your future responsibilities
- Identifies and reports on business opportunities in target markets by contacting prospective clients and evaluating their current position in the industry
- Acquires new clients from the sector of heating utilities and housing cooperatives / communities
- Conducts sales negotiations and deals within the scope of the authority
- Prepares commercial offers incl. technical specifications
- Submits approved bids for tenders, prepares tender documentation and all other documents enabling successful implementation
- Performs contractual due-diligence incl. submission for legal analysis and finalisation of contractual documentation
- Maintains contact with the customer during the entire sales process, implementation and after-sales care
- Provides technical advice and support on the proposed measuring and reading solutions
- Supports development and introduction of new products to the market (meters, reading systems)
- Conducts technical training for clients
- Participates in industry events (trade fairs, sales events)
- Closely collaborates with in-country sales team as well as regional Areas Sales Managers and Heat & Water Production based in Germany
- Technical qualifications with at least Bachelors degree in technical, IT or business administration/marketing fields; or equivalent professional experience
- Fluency in Polish and English (German is of advantage)
- Solid experience in the B2B direct sales, energy and utilities market strongly preferred
- Experience with CRM tools
- Ability to understand and market complex product portfolio (energy metering solutions, Heat & Water, devices etc.)
- A natural gift in building and developing business relationships (customer intimacy)
- High professionalism and credibility
- Experience leading projects of advantage
- Willingness to travel on business on a regular basis (mainly in-country)
- Experience from sales for local governmental authorities is of a big advantage
