RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintenance of already existing multi-tenant and exclusive Kafka clusters,
• Continuous improvements for existing CI/CD pipelines,
• Deployment of new Kafka environments in AWS, Azure and on-prem (vm/bare-metal),
• Opportunity to make real impact on Kafka platform solution and design,
• Maintenance and improvements of current and future automation used for provisioning, deployments and monitoring of the system,
• Exploring new possibilities and delivering new features to optimize the Kafka platform,
• Delivering automation for new Kafka Connect connectors,
• Migrate/deploy platform changes,
• Working with platform customers to help with onboarding into the platform or solve their problems and questions,
• Serving customer requests in regards to Kafka topics (topology) changes using automation,
• Round robin on-call support,
• Strong involvement in k8s platform development and delivery.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Ansible,
• Understanding of distributed version control systems like Git,
• Experience with one of the following languages: Python/Java/Go,
• Basics of Apache Kafka,
• Basics of containerization and Kubernetes,
• Basics of AWS (EC2, VPC, Route53, RDS),
• Linux (Red Hat family) - server admin level, bash scripting,
• Monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana/Alert Manager, or similar,
• Proactive approach in day to day platform development,
• Good communication skills,
• Good command of English.
NICE TO HAVE (OPTIONAL):
• IaC (Terraform),
• GitHub Actions,
• Argo CD,
• Confluent Kafka Platform (Schema Registry, Kafka Connect),
• Networking (connection troubleshooting, AWS security groups),
